We all have a favorite tv series or movie that we can watch over and over again as if it's the first time that we've seen it. The comfort shows that make us feel good or make us laugh when life is lifing, or the movie that reminds us that the underdog always comes out on top because, if we're being honest, we are the underdog who's fighting to become the top dog in our own stories. Speaking of top dog, Wentworth is one of my favorite series to rewatch. Jacs, Franky, Bea...even that psychopath, Joan Ferguson

- watching their rise, and fall for some of them, to top dog is empowering and enlightening, in many ways. Queen of the South's Teresa Mendoza who rises from the fate of a poor Mexican money changer to a boss drug dealer and business owner. She became the top dog as she overcame every obstacle that was placed in front of her. Another favorite of mine is Wendy Raquel Robinson's character, Tasha Mack of The Game. Her witty, shoot-it-straight personality and go-getter mentality is both funny and inspiring. Her refusal to allow she and Malik to become victims to their circumstances by, as a single parent, raising him up to be an NFL superstar and then becoming his agent is definitely top dog behavior.

As the founder and CEO of UnCovered Publishing, my mission is to publish the top dog testimonies of women and men who have overcome life's challenges to become the top dog over a very real adversary whose intention is to stop God's purpose from being revealed in their lives. These are the women who refused to allow childhood abuse or abandonment to define their narrative. They are the men who did the work to break the yoke of generational bondage and curses to become the first to usher in generational blessings for their children and for their children's children. Although the fictional characters that I previously mentioned didn't model Christ-like behaviors, depending on what lens you're looking through, they all- much like Jesus- overcame the odds that were stacked against them and allowed what pained them to become the fuel that pushed them to the top, rising above their circumstances.

The UnCovered Devotional Book Collection is a group of books written by different authors who prevailed, in spite of. Using the story of the woman at the well as a basis, UnCovered: When Life Became My Lesson is Jalyn Belle's story of the redeeming love of a Father Who stepped in as she pursued the love that she needed from her natural father through failed relationships. In her 21-day devotional, Jalyn invites readers to walk with her through lessons of heartbreak, healing and redemption. Her raw honesty mixed with biblical truth is a must-have for teenage and young adult women, single or married.

In UnCovered: A Meeting At the Well with Goel, through Scripture, I uncover the root cause as to why I was kicked out of church and how Jesus met me at my proverbial well and offered me grace and mercy in place of hurt and shame. This devotional is a perfect resource for church leaders as well as a guide for those who wrestle with a spirit of rejection and unforgiveness of church leaders.

Whether you decide that you need one or both, the UnCovered devotionals will usher you, your small group, Bible study or family into a place of uncovering, uprooting and healing. Start UnCovered today.
